Wing Drifter

Prone, Wing, Sup

Keith Teboul: “High volume, compact, all around awesome flying. The Wing Drifter features a fuller outline for an easier paddle and increased stability when in the air.

KT Surfing signature quad concave bottom with beveled rails for the smoothest touchdown and fastest release when foiling.

Rail shape/tuck for quick paddling and fast release to take flight.

The bigger sizes of the Wing Drifter are uncompromisingly dedicated to Wing-foiling and Sup-foiling. Its key characteristic also being a super compact build paired with a high volume and wide shape.

New for the stock model is a modified deck shape for increased comfort when winging.

Constant volume flow provides enough float and stability to get going with a wing or paddle, yet doesn’t feel bulky or cumbersome in flight when wanting to turn or pump.

Additional insert options for wing.”

The new KT Surfing boards now come packed in recycled cardboard and paper tape only. No plastic bags. Keeping your planet, our planet, one step cleaner. We figured it’s a worthy trade off, as our love for surfing and the planet only grows.

Futures 10.75” Fin Boxes, Comes without foil.

I've had the 115L 5'8" Wingdrifer for a few years learning and love it! 78kg

I am 6'3 110kg newbie (30 sessions in), and a shop recommended a Wing Drifter as a good beginner board. In my case, the 160liter was recommended. I thought they were crazy, but it's been a fantastic board to learn on, and I dont mind the extra size even as I'm progressing, foiling regularly now learning jibes. If there are any other Big Dawgz out there, this is a really good option.

I’m a big fan of KT Drifter wing boards, I have 3. My first actual wing board was the 5’6 105L, down from my 6’4 SUP foil board. Big change in performance and the foot straps also helped me increase control and carving angles. Jumping became an option that I have enjoyed as well. Next was 6’ 130L for travel so I could use it for SUP foiling and winging. And lastly, my 5’2 80L, V-strap up front and single in the back. Knee starts were never easy, but I’ve gotten much better and love the performance of this board. I’m 93L and 55 years old, with angry knees and so thankful my buddy introduced me to this sport. Heal side tack is my favorite turn, heal side Heineken jibe favorite jibe. Hopefully going to be windy Wednesday/Thursday for my next sessions at my local lake in central California. Love the stoke you all put into winging.

To add a review here, I have had the 62L since the release. I am 190lbs. It does come off the water in light winds really well, but then rips like a smaller board in the waves due to really great swing weight balance. The board has been 2 total months on trips across the pacific and has logged many flights and still looks like the day I bought it. With so many competing designs its hard to say what works "best", but these boards will improve your winging when you are ready to size into your final board. This is the only board that I wing...no more trying to decide if I should sink start the prone board to have good performance, or go to a larger board on light days. It checks all the boxes.

Hi guys @ktsurfing. Just wanted to let you know I really like your wing boards. Due to an accident I had to give up windsurfing and surfing and happy I discovered winging. Really impressed with the wing drifter 5'4 56 liter and also loving the 5'2 80 liter version. Can't wait for my ordered 8'4 dragonfly downwinder. Keep up the good work and thanks for the already nice moments on your boards and knowing some magical moments with them are waiting. Grtzz Marc

I was able to test my new board (Wing drifter 5’0, 50l volume) in stormy conditions (30-35 Knots) and it was so much fun! Little til no problems transitioning from my former 80l board (Ride Engine Moon Buddy)

Today I was out again in a little less windier conditions (still around 18-20 Knots) and again had a blast! Once you are on your knees, it is so easy to release the board from the water surface…
Up and flying the board feels really great, especially when pumping in wind swell and jumping.

Thanks again for providing such a good board!

I have a KT Drifter Foil Board. We had a small accident yesterday with another board getting laid on top of it, and there is a small crack on the rear of the board that went through the matte finish. I would like to know your suggestion to repair the board. I can send pictures. The board is wonderful, and I use it all the time. I believe the crack is mostly cosmetic but would like to know the best way to repair it to keep it watertight. Thank you in advance. Arnot

Hi Arnot,

I’m sorry to hear that your board got a crack! Our boards are built with epoxy resin and should be repaired with epoxy, not polyester resins. If it’s just a small crack, I would sand away a little bit surrounding the crack. If the board got wet after cracking, ensure the board is dried out and no water is still seeping out, and then use an epoxy UV cure resin like this one below to seal the damaged area.

Glad you’re loving your board, and let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help!

Tried the new 70L Wing drifter. Found it easy to knee start, felt like it had more than 70L of volume. Sufficient volume forward to not sink the nose. Easy to get up on foil and once riding felt lively and responsive. Nice deck pad and tail kicker, great fit and finish.

Response: Thanks Tim! Glad you liked the board!

I tested this wing 3 weeks ago. I am wingfoiling for 1.5 year now. My quiver is pretty up to date with other 2022 wings. Still as soon as I tested the 3.0 KT Wing Air I knew I was holding *tomorrow's* wing design. And I left the session thinking that my other 2022 wings were *yesterday's* wings. Lol!

A few days ago I went ahead and got the 3.0 and enjoyed a fine session yesterday, paired with my 90L Quatro Wingdrifter and Sabfoil 999/93 riding small bumps in high winds. Never did I feel out of sorts, overwhelmed etc. The wing just added to my confidence. Getting going is super easy and once up the wing feels a bit like a Goya Fringe! Love it! Can't wait for the next session!

Hi team, happy 5th, hope you survived the weekend!

I had the opportunity to try the 62 and 38 ltr and loved them both. On top of it all, the KT Wings are amazing, got on the 3/4/5m this weekend and find the forward positioning on the front handle to be a key feature with the sinker starts.

Thank you,

TJ
